Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas and a great start to the New Year. As I mentioned in my last post, I celebrated Christmas on January 7th - I meant to post about it, but I got too busy with friends and family. Anyway, I had a very good time and ate lots of traditional foods.
You'll never guess what my best friend, Xiaofei, got me for Christmas - my very own kitty! His name is Murphy.
Xiaofei volunteers at the animal shelter a lot, which is how she came to adopt this cat for me. He was found wandering around with an injured leg. He was rescued and nursed back to health, but he had no home to go to. Xiaofei thought I would be the perfect owner for him. She's such a good friend!
Isn't he just adorable? Really, I've never had my very own pet before. My family used to have a golden retriever when I was younger, but since then, I've had no animals to take care of. I have to try and be to best owner I can for Murphy. My mom told me it will take a lot of responsibility but she knows I can do it!

ReplyDeleteYour cat is adorable! We had a dog named Milou, though he passed away a few years ago. My mom hates dogs, so we haven't gotten a new one. My dad wants one, though.

Aw! What a cute kitty! I have cat too! She's called coco and she sleeps all day. I think she has cat parties at night, haha! Good luck taking care of Murphy!
